Medical Students

Thank you for your interest in our  program. Our clinical clerkships are for medical students in their 4th year of medical school and are performed at Centro Medico Episcopal San Lucas in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Our Emergency Department cares for approximately 60,000 patients per year, and serves as the main tertiary care center of Southern Puerto Rico.

These clerkships will provide you with exposure to a wide array of EM pathologies, trauma, life-saving procedures, resuscitations, while also allowing you to work first-hand with our clinical faculty with their own unique areas of expertise and skills.

Students will have direct participation in patient care, under the direct supervision of our enthusiastic EM faculty and our amazing team of PGY-3 residents. In addition to the clinical portion of the rotations, students will participate in didactic time and in the development of simulation scenarios.
